This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run Scale Invoice well.
1. What we collect
Account details (name, email), the business and client data you enter to create invoices, payment records you add, and standard technical data such as log and device information used to keep the service secure and working.
2. How we use it
To provide and improve the service, render and deliver your invoices, send transactional messages (such as reminders you configure), prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Payments
Plan payments are handled by our payment gateway. We do not store full card details on our servers; the gateway processes them under its own security standards.
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us operate the platform (for example hosting and email delivery), under contracts that require appropriate safeguards, or where required by law.
5. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to issues.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data from within the app or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your data subject to any legal retention requirements.
7. Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymise it unless we are required to retain it.
